CBD FAQs

IS CBD SAFE?

Yes, CBD is safe. The CBD products we sell are non-toxic and as they contain the minimal amount of THC (less than 0.2%). Also, our products are non-psychoactive, meaning they do not create a high.

The great thing about CBD is that it is in and out of your system quickly, therefore long-term dependance and side effects are reduced. Cannabinoids (such as CBD) do not stay in the body for long in high amounts, they are rapidly processed and degraded in the body, potentially making them more tolerable and less addictive than alternative methods of therapy

WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST FROM USING CBD?

No, you will not fail a drug test from the CBD products we sell. The component of concern during a drug test when testing for cannabis use is THC.  THC is the component of the cannabis plant that produces a high. The CBD products we sell contain less than 0.2% THC, with 3rd party (ADACT) laboratory testing conducted to ensure the products meet requirements. The 0.2% THC composition guideline has been set by the Home Office. If you want to use CBD products it is legal to do so.

WILL CBD HELP MY ILLNESS?

We are not able to give medical advice as our CBD products are sold as food supplements to help support and maintain a healthy body and mind and it’s always important to do your own thorough research-depending on what you are using CBD for, before trying it out.

CAN I DRIVE AFTER TAKING CBD?

Yes, the CBD products we sell at the Lemon Tree CBD are non-psychoactive, meaning they do not create a high. It is safe to drive following the consumption of CBD.

WILL CBD MAKE ME HIGH?

No, CBD is different to the psychoactive compound of the Cannabis plant, THC.

THC will make you high, due to the way it directly interacts with CB1 and CB2 receptors. CBD cannot directly bind to CB1 and CB2 receptors, therefore it does not activate these receptors of the Endocannabinoid system and does not lead to a high.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF CBD?

Multiple studies suggest CBD has minimal side effects and it is safe overall for consumption. However, the manufacturer’s of our products have provided these common known side effects of CBD products:

  • Dry mouth

  • Low blood pressure

  • Lightheadedness (this effect is linked to low blood pressure)

  • Drowsiness (at high doses)

  • Increased Parkinson’s tremors (at high doses)

  • Inhibiting the liver’s ability to metabolise drugs

Most of these are minor, and even the impact on your liver – which sounds serious – is really similar to what happens after you eat a portion of grapefruit.

Overall, while you may experience minor symptoms such as drowsiness or dry mouth, you’re unlikely to have any serious reactions to taking CBD, especially if you don’t take large doses.

CAN I TAKE CBD WITH OTHER MEDICATIONS?

With taking anything new it is recommended you speak with a medical professional. CBD can interact with some medicines.
